Birthday Traditions

Today's my birthday. Happy birthday to me!

I looked back. Last year's birthday was eerily similar to today. Mainly, the fella was on a trip and flew home on my birthday, just like today. And....

I did a giveaway! Just like today!

The prize: a $25 gift certificate to my shop!

Got your eye on some home sewn goodies? Drooling over the new Pinafores Collection? Need a baby gift? Here's your chance to get a bargain.

  1. I like taking a giant bite out of the birthday cake, claiming my piece (aka half the cake) - best family tradition ever.

  3. I think the thing I love most about birthdays is how surprised I always am by the number of people taking time to share birthday love with you. I think we should take any opportunity available to shower people with good vibes...and birthdays are a great excuse! Happy birthday Jessa!

  6. In my family, only on our birthdays we use our Bunnykins plate and cup to eat breakfast. Usually my dad makes french toast. Once when I was in college my mom sent me the plate and cup to use on my birthday. Even though my sisters and I are all 17 and older, we still continue the tradition :)

  8. My favorite thing about birthdays is watching someone get exactly what they've been wanting. Kinda like on Christmas. When my daughter turned 2 last year we made her a lion cake that she LOVED. And - I got her a Super kid cape too :) She was just wearing it around the other day.

  9. I love and am honored by how my spouse works so hard to celebrate me. When we got married we started our own tradition of picking out a cake we wanted the other to make for our respective birthdays. It's been great fun and we've had some great cakes. Of course, we've also picked out some nearly impossible cakes to make. That has made watching the baker a birthday treat in and of itself. :)

  15. I love the celebration that often brings family together for birthdays (in our family). I love that it's a chance to celebrate how excited we are to have that person in our lives for another year.
