A Happily Home Sewn Giveaway!

It's Friday, and it's 62 degrees out. That's giveaway weather if I ever saw it.

So...who's feeling super? I mean, besides me. And Eli.

I'm itchin' to whip up a SuperKid cape for one of the superkids out there. I will custom make it to showcase the SK's interests/favorite colors/superpowers and of course, his or her super initial.

Here are some examples:

So, to enter leave a comment telling me what your SuperKid's cape might look like and/or any super powers you or your SK posses (I myself have a superhuman beacon which will lead me (without a map) to the Spaghetti Factory in any city).

You can get a second chance to win by following me via the box on the left sidebar. Leave me a comment if you do that so you can get your name in the hat twice.

I will randomly select the winner at 9:00 on Monday morning, because we all need a chance to be winners on Monday morning.

Can't wait to help one of your wonderkids "Be Super!" (see the video below).

If you don't happen to win, you can order these on my etsy shop here. This is a special listing just for you, loyal blog readers. Use it to get your SuperKid Capes shipped for FREE!

I appreciate all (three) of you!

  1. My little super baby's best power is turning her dad into mush. We've yet to meet her so I'm sure once we get to know her the super powers will flow like crazy.

  3. Elliot's cape would be covered in trucks of all kinds. His superpower would be that he could move them all at the same time!

  4. Fisher says he would be a superhero who would "save parents" - not lying, I swear he said it. He says he likes green, the letter F, dinosaurs, and snakes.

  8. My Super L loves trucks and anything with wheels. He's got a large Tonka Dump Truck that he rolls all over, loads up, and dumps in various rooms of the house. But today, he was zooming around with a toy airplane, because that's what Daddy flies and he has finally put two and two together. All hail Super Daddy!

  10. We're all boy over here so I think Luca would need a cape with either dinosaurs or "struction vehicles"! Hmmm my superpower.....one would be sneaking a cookie without kids or husband noticing. You have to open the package very quietly and chew with no detectable movement. Luca's superpower is sneaking into our bed at night without either of us waking or noticing!!!
PS I am so un-crafty but I think I could do the felting. Lets have a felting party!!!!

  11. Super Patrick would need a cape with trains, cars or trucks....they all have equal places in his heart. His super power is the ability to turn any time he hears music into a dance party.

  12. My SUPER kid Nolan would wear a cape designed with sports because he is my All-Star!!! His super power is definately his crooked lil' smile that can make any heart melt and get him his way!

  13. Hayden's super kid cape would have an H on it and would be covered in monkeys as he loves to be Super silly and has the power to make us laugh even when we are trying to be serious.

  14. Super Grover what more can I say. Currently he has the chicken pox so his super power is the power to not itch them. He would choose a cape that would be pink with monster trucks if possibly.

  15. Abby's super kid cape would likely be purple. She loves things that sparkle. She's completely fascinated by dogs and seems very brave as she reaches for them, but gets a little nervous when they get too close. A super kid cape might give her the extra bit of courage she needs. I think her current superpower is leaving her glasses on (most of the time), which is no small miracle at 18 months!

  16. Alex says his favorite superhero is krypton the superdog. Makes perfect sense because he tries hard to be very dog-like. From getting down on the ground and wrestling with the dogs to taking off all his clothes to be "naked like a puppy," he works hard at his superpowers. So a puppy themed cape with an A would make him very happy!

  17. My super baby Abby's super power is discovering a million new things a day. Today she was covering up a mirror with her hand, then moving to see her face, examining it, and then trying the whole thing again. I don't know if I am explaining it well, but it was super cool. Her other super power is using this curiosity to make her parents see and appreciate the world anew. She is also good at attracting hearts from afar (hint, hint, Amos). :)

  18. OOOh! So cute! My little one's super cape would maybe have little bunnies on it, because she is my bunny....perhaps my super bunny?

She's also awake at 2:30am right now defying sleep! Oh how her powers amaze me...
