Every year I whip up home sewn Christmas jammies for my kiddos. This year I bought the Christmas jammy fabric months ago. It's Dr. Seuss' Grinch flannel and it's yummy and soft and bright.
Each year they are opened after church on Christmas Eve...
...along with a soft snugly toy to climb into bed with. This year it was a seal for Eli and a stuffed Francesco Bernoulli for Amos. Perfection for both.
Turns out, no hiney is safe around here. I clothed them all in flannel. Once I got the kiddos' jammies finished I just kept on going and made pjs for Eric, Yaya and even a pair for myself.
I sprang to the sewing room as quick as a mouse,
and whipped up some goodies for all in my house.
And I whispered to them as their dreams took to flight,
Flannel pjs for all, and to all a good night!

I can't think of a better tradition. New pjs are the best and how can they not be better if they're homemade?
ReplyDeleteI can't sew, but my mom made my daughters a bunch of corduroy pants for Christmas. I think it's awesome!
